As I look back in time to my early research and blog writing, I realize I was ahead of most nonprofit pundits in many respects. That is partly because I have worked closely with major gift donors and entrepreneurs who are forward thinking. Some who have attended my in-person and webinar presentations will recall my referencing working with landowners and corporate CEOs over the past 30 years. They are some of the most advanced “thinkers,” and still today. In my work, I always aim to meet them where they are, intellectually speaking.
