Those who have discovered my Linktr.ee know that I share my most recent blog articles and projects there. But also, I recommend several organizations and platforms that serve the nonprofit sector.
Those I recommend I have tried myself. As I do almost all my nonprofit work myself, I check them out beforehand. I don’t just take someone else’s recommendation.
Linktr.ee is a convenient, centralized system for sharing links to pertinent information online “on the go.” I include Linktr.ee on my digital email signature rather than posting all the logos and URLs on which I am working! It is a great way to see what I’m up to at any given moment and it is definitely much more “tidy.”

For six years, I served as the primary organizer of the local nonprofit tech club in Austin. Many of the platforms I work with today gave presentations during my time at the helm of the club! Those “demos” were eye-opening, and I was inspired by the way the founders were so genuinely interested in helping nonprofits do their work more effectively and efficiently using the latest technologies. This article is meant to thank them, and to spread the word about their innovative approaches.
Links to each platform are provided below. If you have questions, use my blog’s secure contact form to email me.
- BetterUnite | Fundraising and Donor Management (I have watched it grow over the past 8 years, and I am working with it today on behalf of a nonprofit)
- Crescendo Interactive | Planned Giving Marketing Solutions (If you are short-staffed but believe a planned giving initiative is a smart thing for your organization, let Crescendo Interactive do the work! They have attorneys on staff; they keep abreast of the latest rules and laws … which is always what I worry about most! #SafeSpace)
- Dashlane Password Manager (All nonprofits with which I work are safe with Dashlane)
- Free Broken Link Checker (If your website looks good but many links within its pages are broken or not functioning, your organization will look unprofessional to readers. Use this handy service once a month for a clean, up-to-date website)
- GivePulse | Volunteer Management (Volunteers are a great benefit, but they can be problematic and not terribly productive if you do not manage (and protect) them well. I have also watched this platform grow the past 8 years)
- Giving Docs | Planned Giving (Giving to nonprofits through Wills and bequests is the principal way planned gifts support the nonprofit sector – 90%. Make it easy!)
- Instrumentl | Grants for Nonprofits (Research and grant management is made much easier with this platform, and I have watched it grow over the past several years – very impressive)
- Qgiv Bloomerang | Gift Processing (I love the way you can configure your online donation forms – they look beautiful. I have set up several donation pages using this platform, so if you have questions, let me know)
- Quad | TechSoup Online Conversation Platform (There is a modest fee involved to join, but it is totally worth it – join more than 1,000 nonprofit staff members across the world seeking help and solutions! Below is the announcement for a talk I gave to Quad members about YouTube in summer 2025. To watch the recording, join Quad today!

- WiseStamp | Professional Email Signatures (I can’t live without this signature system – it is so gorgeous and sets a very professional tone for your organization, for- or nonprofit)
- WordPress | Websites (I have made several websites on WordPress, and I like the variety of templates, the very helpful support as needed, and the way WordPress dovetails with Google Search – Carolyn’s Nonprofit Blog has been on WordPress for many years)

Thanks, everyone!
